It's the last bastion of the Thieves' Guild, riddled with corruption and decay.

Riften is currently a run-down, scummy place. I don't know if you'll find any of this inspiring per se, but here's what I know about Riften: Feel free to request, and I will see what I can do.Ĭagla Cali Posts: 3431 Joined: Tue 8:36 am This is just the beginning, I intend to add many specialized additions to the game world like this. Let me know what you guys think of this, if you would play it, or what ideas you can add. I am working on the models for them now, so by the time the CK comes out, I will hopefully be able to release the main holds, and then start on the minor holds. I would like to hear what everyone thinks would be good representations of the holds or the Jarl's who rule them. If anyone has any good ideas for Riften or the minor holds, feel free to post those here. This will probably have to wait for release for the CK to come out, as I can't just replace or retexture here. I also intend to do some things for the minor holds as well I think, but I am still working on those. I have not spent a lot of time there, and I only have a few ideas. ~Riften: Some suggestions would be appreciated here.

I want to put a decorative Dwarf head carving behind with magma pouring out and down the sides of the steps to add atmosphere and some extra lighting (it is dark in that throne room.) ~Markarth: Well a dwarven throne of course. I am thinking spires and a large-ish set of steps. ~Solitude: A large throne suitable for the seat of the Empire in Skyrim. I feel the concept is appropriate for the city of Kynareth. ~Whiterun: I will be making very small changes to the original concept in the art book. I will be making relatively small changes to the throne rooms of all the holds to include custom Thrones and some changes to the architecture of the throne rooms to better accommodate the new thrones. So I announce my Work in Progress unofficially titled the Thrones of Skyrim. But really, in a grand RPG game like the Elder Scrolls, don't you want as much specialization as you can get? I think so, so I am taking this very small journey at first, to bring more of that into Skyrim. It is made of crystal, and has an open atrium full of trees behind the reasoning for leaving this out was that it was "too specialized" of an item. So, looking through the art book, I came across the awesome concept of the throne for Whiterun.
